Rx Ventipulmin Syrup for Horses

Ventipulmin Syrup relieves symptoms of reversible airway conditions in horses by causing the smooth muscles in the airway to relax, allowing for bronchodilation. This helps increase airflow to the lungs by decreasing resistance in the respiratory pathway. It also decreases the thickness of mucus in the airways.

Contains the active ingredient, Clenbuterol HCl, which quickly reaches lung tissue concentration to provide relief. Provides an optimum level of treatment and is safe and effective.

It is the only FDA-approved solution for the management of airway obstruction associated with respiratory disease in horses.

Possible Side Effects

Mild sweating, muscle tremor, restlessness, urticaria and tachycardia may be observed in some horses during the first few days of treatment. May cause elevated creatine kinase (CK) serum levels. Ataxia was observed in 3 out of 239 horses (1.3%) in clinical studies.

Cautions and Warnings

• Should not be used in pregnant mares near term.
• The effect on reproduction in breeding stallions and brood mares has not been determined.
• Because tachycardia may occur, it should not be used in horses suspected of having cardiovascular impairment.
• Treatment starting with dosages higher than the initial dose is not recommended.
• Not for human use. Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use in horses intended for human consumption.
