Rx Sentinel Spectrum Chews for Dogs

For optimal parasite protection, Sentinel Spectrum is formulated with three active ingredients that control and prevent fleas, heartworm and intestinal worms in dogs. These three active ingredients include Milbemycin oxime, praziquantel and lufenuron.

Milbemycin oxime prevents nerve transmission in invertebrates, which protects against heartworm, round worm, hookworm and whipworm. Praziquantel inflicts a muscle spasm in tapeworm, which is then attacked by enzymes and then disintegrated. Lufenuron regulates insect growth and disrupts the flea breeding cycle.

Adult fleas that feed on an animal that has taken Sentinel Spectrum will produce eggs or larvae that do not make it to the adult stage, thus reducing the number of fleas. A monthly, beef-flavored chew is an easy way to keep your pet healthy and parasite-free while also giving your pup a delicious reward.

SENTINEL SPECTRUM CHEWS are indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis; for the prevention and control of flea populations; and for the treatment and control of adult roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, and tapeworm infections in dogs and puppies two pounds of body weight or greater and six weeks of age and older.

Important Safety Information

Dogs should be tested for heartworm prior to use. Mild hypersensitivity reactions have been noted in some dogs carrying a high number of circulating microfilariae. Treatment with fewer than 6 monthly doses after the last exposure to mosquitoes may not provide complete heartworm prevention.
