Rx Orbax (orbifloxacin) Oral Suspension for Dogs & Cats

ORBAX Oral Suspension is a prescription antibacterial medication used for the treatment of specific bacterial infections in dogs and cats. It contains orbifloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic effective against a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Dog Indications:

ORBAX Oral Suspension is indicated for the treatment of:

• Urinary tract infections (cystitis) caused by susceptible strains of:
  • Staphylococcus pseudintermedius
  • Proteus mirabilis
  • Escherichia coli
  • Enterococcus faecalis
• Skin and soft tissue infections (wounds and abscesses) caused by susceptible strains of:
  • Staphylococcus pseudintermedius
  • Staphylococcus aureus
  • Coagulase positive staphylococci
  • Pasteurella multocida
  • Proteus mirabilis
  • Pseudomonas spp.
  • Klebsiella pneumoniae
  • Escherichia coli
  • Enterobacter spp.
  • Citrobacter spp.
  • Enterococcus faecalis
  • β-hemolytic streptococci (Group G)
  • Streptococcus equisimilis

Cat Indications:

ORBAX Oral Suspension is indicated for the treatment of skin infections (wounds and abscesses) caused by susceptible strains of:

• Staphylococcus aureus
• Escherichia coli
• Pasteurella multocida
