Rx Methimazole is a tablet medication for cats designed to counter hyperthyroidism and it's symptoms by preventing the development of excessive T3 and T4 hormones, therefore reducing their metabolic rate to a steadier level. Symptoms include weight loss, excessive thirst and urination, diarrhea, shedding, and/or hyperactivity.
