RabVac 3 Rabies Vaccine, No Tags

RabVac 3 is a killed virus rabies vaccine indicated for use in healthy dogs, cats, and horses 3 months of age or older for protection against the rabies virus. This vaccine meets the 3-year immunity requirement for dogs and cats and the 1-year immunity requirement for horses.

Usage and Dosage:

  • Dogs and Cats: Administer 1 mL intramuscularly (IM) at one site in the thigh or subcutaneously (SQ) at 3 months of age or older. Revaccinate 1 year later, then every 3 years thereafter. Local and state laws may require annual vaccination.
  • Horses: Administer 2 mL intramuscularly (IM) at 3 months of age or older. Two 1 mL vials are required. Revaccinate annually. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.

Important Information:

  • For use in dogs, cats, and horses only
  • Restricted to use by or under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian
  • Not tested for use in pregnant dogs, cats, or horses
  • Contains gentamicin and thimerosal as preservatives
  • No tags or certificates come with rabies vaccines and must be purchased separately.

Storage and Handling:

  • Store between 2°C and 8°C (35°F and 46°F). Do not freeze
  • Shake well before use. Use all contents once opened
  • Do not mix with other products unless specified on the label

Potential Side Effects:

  • May cause local reactions at the injection site
  • Possible anaphylaxis or immune-mediated reactions. Treatment may include epinephrine, corticosteroids, or antihistamines depending on severity
